Aloo Ki Tikki

Ingredients for tikki :
1. 250 gms. potatoes(boiled)
2. 2 tbsp bread crumbs
For Filling :
1. 100 gms. channa dal
2. 1/2 tbsp chat masala powder
3. 1/4 tbsp garam masala powder
4. 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder
5. 2-3 green chillies(chopped)
6. salt to taste
7. 2tbsp chopped green coriander
8. 1 tbsp oil
9. 1 cup water
Method :
1. first boil the potatoes . peel and mash the potatoes.
2. wash and soak rhe chana dal in a cup of water for half an hour.Boil soaked dal with one cup of water in a covered microwave safe bowl for 10 mins. at 100% power.
3. make a smooth mixture of mashed potatoes and bread crumbs.
4. mix dal with all tha ingredients of the filling and keep aside.
5.make small balls of the potato mixture , applyling little oil on your hands.fill with the above mixture and shape them in to small tikkis.
6. preheat the oven at the 250 degree centigrate at convention mode.
7. place the prepared tikkis on microwave flat safe dish on high rack and bake at250 degree centigrate for 25 to 30 mins. reposition frequently for uniform browning .relish with green chunty and snoth.

Vegetable Biriyani

Enjoy the wonderful taste of vegetable biriyani with raita.
Ingredients:
for rice:
1. 1 cup rice
2. 1 tsp ghee or oil
3. 2 pcs. cardamom
4. 2 pcs. cinnamon
5. cloves
6. pepperscorns(kali mir
7. 2 bay leaves(tej patta)
8. salt(to taste)
9. 2 cups water
10. 1/2 cup milk and saffron a little
for vegetable layer:
1. 1tbsp ghee or oil
2.1 onion chopped
3. large tomatoes chopped
4. 6-7 garlic flakes
5. 2-3 green chillies
6. 1/2 cup green peas
7. 1/4 cup carrots
8. 1/2 cup cauliflower florets
9. 1 tbsp cumin seeds
10. 1/2 cup water
11. salt,black peeper,red chilli powder(to taste)
12.1/4 tsp turmaric powder
13. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
method:
1. wash and soak rice in2 cups of water for half an hour. drain the water.
2. Microwave the ghee or oil in a microwave safe bowl for 30 secs.at 100% power.
3.The cardamom,cinnamon,peppercorn,salt ,rice and 2 cups of water. boil for 9-10mins. at 100% power and then at 60% power for 5-6 mins.
4. Add the 1/2 cup of milk and safforn to rice.allow to stand coverd for 5 mins.
5. In anthor microwave bowl micriwave ghee at 100% for 30 secs.
6. Add the chhopped onion ,tomatoes and the garlic.microwave in 2 mins in 100% power.
7. Add rest of the spices ,chopped vegetables and 1/2 cup of water and microwave coverd for 5-6 mins.at the 100% power.
8. In a serving dish place one layer each boil rice and microwaved vegetables one by one .microwave(coverd) for 4 mins. at 100% power. allow to stand for 5 mins. serve hot with a raita.
